Responsibilities
- Serve as Engineer of Record and support preparation of land development design and permitting documents for Solar and BESS development projects.
- Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems design
- Responsible for project financial performance and routine client communications
- Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders and community members to discuss project design and permitting issues
- Manage work and professional development of junior-level staff
- Manage small, medium, and large projects
- Develop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissions
- Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office. ArcGIS skills desirable.
- Skills to implement the integrated services approach. Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, erosion control and stormwater management.
- Knowledge of land development construction, construction materials and detailing. Detail drawings, sections, and material specifications
- Project research and analysis
- Strong, creative engineering skills and ability to adhere to office standards
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Ability to multitask, think critically and attention to detail
- Excels at working in a team environment
- Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential
- Has interest in growing business development skills
- BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
- 5 years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects
- PE licensure in Virginia or obtain within 6 months
- Proficient in site layout, grading, and stormwater management
- Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
- Understanding of energy market in Mid-Atlantic region; especially Virginia
