- Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and proper draping.
- Manipulate tissues, dissect, and remove human tissue as required.
- Inject medications and manipulate sutures using various techniques.
- Model professional behavior, mentor colleagues, and support team training.
- Perform wound dressing, apply wound closure materials, and assist with surgical procedures as directed.
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent certification (e.g., CST, TS-C, CSFA, or CSA).
- Active certification and mandatory ongoing education (15 hours annually).
- No prior experience required if qualifications are met.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and patient safety standards.
