This role involves providing direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, following physician’s orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory matters. Responsibilities include performing assigned duties, utilizing respiratory care devices, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications include a graduate of a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program, current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and certifications such as RRT or CRT from the NBRC. PALS and ACLS certifications are required for ER roles. A minimum of one year of experience beyond orientation is necessary, with a preference for critical care experience. Physical demands include lifting, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, and performing minimal physical movements like kneeling or crouching.
