Registered Nurse – Rapid Response

Respond to patient deterioration on acute care units by performing rapid clinical assessments and initiating life-saving interventions. Collaborate with physicians and bedside teams during urgent events, including support for code and sepsis alerts. Ensure care is delivered according to evidence-based protocols and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients promptly when deterioration is reported and determine appropriate next steps.
• Initiate emergency interventions and support timely escalation to the care team.
• Assist with code and sepsis alert processes.
• Provide clinical coaching and guidance to unit nurses to strengthen bedside decision-making.
• Maintain adherence to established clinical pathways and evidence-based protocols.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN licensure and strong acute care nursing competencies.
• Ability to act decisively under pressure with sound clinical judgment.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of sepsis recognition and emergency response procedures.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, compassion, and continuous improvement.
