Position Overview
- Provides professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Performs scrub functions such as handling instruments and supplies.
- Handles circulating duties including monitoring patient condition, recording, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assists physicians with surgical tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepares operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgeries.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 30 days and Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
- Preferred scrub experience.
