Role Overview
Perform radiographic procedures adhering to professional and departmental standards, demonstrating thorough understanding of radiologic principles, anatomy, and pathology. Ensure exams are optimized for interpretation, accurately identify patients and files, and assist in teaching radiography students. Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and consent, explain procedures, and address questions to ease anxiety. Recognize and resolve clinical or emergent issues to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction. Maintain safety protocols, radiation exposure limits, and a clean, organized environment. Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer specifications and stay updated on technological advances. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
Recent hospital experience preferred; capable of performing on-call, shift, holiday, and weekend duties. Basic computer skills, effective communication, confidentiality, crisis management, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of electronic health records essential.
