Responsibilities include conducting face-to-face assessments for Veterans applying for VA disability benefits, completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires, and performing clinical exams. The role also involves providing occupational health services such as pre-employment physicals, DOT exams, and fitness-for-duty evaluations for various government departments.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, family or adult nurse practitioner certification, active state licensure, and DOT certification within 6 months (reimbursed). Prior experience in primary, internal, or occupational medicine, especially with Veterans or federal health programs, is preferred. Strong assessment skills, independence, reliability, communication, and teamwork are essential.
