Position Overview: Provides specialized nursing care on a 50-bed CT8 unit focusing on cardiac, pulmonary, medical, and surgical patients.
Responsibilities: Performs assessments, develops and updates personalized care plans, administers medications including cardiac drips, manages cardiac devices, and prepares patients for procedures. Ensures patient safety, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, documents care accurately, and educates patients and families for safe discharge. Delegates tasks appropriately, manages acute and chronic conditions, and maintains compliance with departmental standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate’s Degree or H.S. Diploma/GED, RN licensure, BLS certification within 30 days, and ACLS within a year. Must have experience with cardiac/ pulmonary care, proficiency in assessments, medication administration, device management, and use of telemetry and other medical equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and professional development skills are essential.
