Job SummaryThe Continuous Improvement Champion is responsible for leading the implementation of a structured Continuous Improvement (CI) program within a technology center or department. This role partners with line management to drive operational excellence by leading improvement initiatives, coaching employees on CI tools and methodologies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The position also delivers CI training and develops local strategies to strengthen a culture of continuous improvement.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead or support center-level continuous improvement projectsManage facility cost leadership initiatives and 5S programsCoach managers and teams on CI methodologies, including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Lean, Six Sigma, and Design of Experiments (DOE)Implement CI project validation processes and ensure accurate quantification of project benefitsConduct CI training as Lead Instructor for introductory courses or Co-Instructor for advanced trainingAnalyze business system data to optimize utilization of CI-trained personnel, including Green and Black BeltsDevelop and implement a local CI strategy to strengthen continuous improvement cultureEnsure CI initiatives are aligned with operational and business goalsCollaborate with manufacturing teams to implement 5S standards and optimize process flowsPromote CI recognition and engagement programsSupport internal and external IT partners in maintaining CI-related systemsExecute lifecycle management procedures related to CI and support efforts to maintain external certificationsMinimum RequirementsBachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume, or highly technical environmentExperience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworksGreen Belt certification or equivalent hands-on experience with a proven track record of process improvementStrong familiarity with CI tools and methodologies including DMAIC, Agile, 8D, and 5SData-driven mindset with strong attention to detailWorking knowledge of process mapping, value stream mapping, and FMEAExcellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn additional applicationsSelf-motivated with strong organizational and workload prioritization skillsPreferred SkillsBlack Belt certification (ASQ or equivalent)Ability to communicate effectively with audiences ranging from shop-floor technicians to executive leadershipExperience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)Strong background in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesExperience with Microsoft Power PlatformAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, including VBA and macros
