Veterinary Assistant - ER, Swing Shift

Are you a skilled VA who thrives in an emergency care setting? Join our team at Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, a hybrid hospital providing both Emergency and Primary Care services. We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant – ER to support our patients, clients, and clinical team.
Schedule
- Sunday - Wednesday, 1pm-12am (swing shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and assist with emergency cases as they present
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Assist with treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and surgical procedures
- Perform blood draws, place IV catheters, and run in-house laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Support a small animal caseload with seasonal fluctuations in workload
- Assist with front-of-house and administrative duties as needed, including scheduling, client check-in/out, and answering phones
About You
- 2–3 years of Veterinary Assistant experience required
- 1–2 years of emergency veterinary experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients compassionately and professionally
- A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and supports colleagues
- Able to multitask effectively while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $24-$30 per hour current shift differential rate
