Job Description
The WAF Coordinator readily establishes procedures and processes for the execution and administration of the Work Authorization Form (WAF), in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items 009-24 and 009-106. The candidate must have firm understanding of the JFMM & TUMS in order to make judgement calls and provide guidance to WAF III personnel when needed. The individual will be required to develop, coordinate and conduct training with the program team and ships-force on WAF and Tag-out procedures. All WAF Team members build and maintain temp service diagrams in accordance with 009-08, and therefore the WAF coordinator will need to be proficient in Microsoft Visio and mentor the WAF team in program use as well as provide guidance when NAVSEA Standard Items change.

Minimum Education Required
High School/GED
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically a High School Diploma and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ship repair, project planning, or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and VISIO.
Assess and track project work across disparate departments and craft disciplines.
Understand task dependencies and logic (internal as well as external).
Evaluate and approve all WAF revisions.
Conduct WAF audits to ensure proper WAF administration.
Monitor project progress and communicate deviations from the plan.
Analyze data and provide meaningful solutions to complex situations.
Train BAE personnel, teaming partners and Sub-Contractors in the overall WAF process.
Demonstrate proficiency with computers and MS Word, Excel, Project.
Perform other duties as assigned
