The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic II with limited supervision, inspects, tests, adjusts, repairs and performs other task related to complicated maintenance and repairs of company vehicles, fuel trucks, and equipment in a safe and organized work area. In addition completes appropriate and accurate documentation in a timely manner.
The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic II interacts positively with company personnel to foster a company-wide environment of teamwork; participates in personal and leadership development opportunities; and demonstrates leadership and professionalism at all times.
Essential Job Functions
With limited supervision, inspects, services, troubleshoots function tests and repairs of the most complicated nature on mechanical systems (i.e. fuel trucks, ground support equipment, company vehicles, etc) in a timely, clean, safe and prosessional manner with a superior level of quality, craftsmanship and efficiency. Makes sound technical decisions by using diagnostic equipment, such as analyzers, scanners, and other various equipment. Researches and uses appropriate technical data and resources and follows instructions to accomplish assigned maintenance tasks
With limited supervision, performs preventative maintenance and subsequent repairs on equipment, company vehicles, and buildings. Performs scheduled maintenance and repairs to hangar doors (motors, gear boxes, track wheels, etc.). Documents worked performed
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of Company’s Preventative Maintenance program. Documents work performed for record keeping.
Performs metal fabrication and modifies equipment and hangar doors using shop equipment and tooling.
Willingly and effectively shares knowledge and capabilities with less experienced technicians through OJT to foster their development, ensure accurate work, and support of team’s goals.
Assists with maintaining company grounds (required to assist with snow removal, ability to operate snow removal equipment, applying de-icer, etc.).
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

High School/GED
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Job Specific Requirements
Licenses/Certificates: Manlift, Scissor lift, and Forklift certifications. Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required: on-call 24/7
Physical: Routinely up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs; reads small print and identifies colors; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and material associated with facilities and building maintenance; tolerates standing; walking bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
Environmental: Tolerates working noisy environments, extreme temperatures
Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent required
Two Years Related Mechanical Experience Required
ASE certification(s) preferred
Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
