We have an exciting career opportunity available in our Pivotal Attribute Sciences team at the Amgen site in Cambridge, MA. In the role of PD Associate, you will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical testing to support protein-based biologic therapies. This includes executing qualified analytical methods, generating and reviewing analytical data, and supporting commercial process development and process characterization through accurate and timely experimental work. Work in a cross-functional team environment to advance therapies in late-stage development.
Execute laboratory testing using techniques such as capillary electrophoresis, liquid chromatography (hydrophobic interaction, cationic exchange, etc.), spectroscopy, titer analysis, pharmacopeia compendial methods, etc.
Conduct experiments and perform data analysis according to protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
Document experimental data in electronic lab notebooks.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for analytical issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and innovation.

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED and 4 years of Scientific experience OR
Associate’s degree and 2 years of Scientific experience OR
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of scientific / pharmaceutical experience
Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline.
Excellent laboratory skills
Hands on laboratory experience with liquid chromatography, and capillary electrophoresis
Experience with compendial methods testing, such as Color, Clarity, Turbidity, and UV/VIS spectroscopy
Strong desire to learn and interest in science
Demonstrated proficiency in execution of test methodology following a defined procedure.
Background in chromatography data software
Understanding of phase-appropriate GMP compliance and documentation
Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebook
Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures
Well-organized, ability to multitask, effectively plan and follow through on complex projects, and to work both independently and in teams
