Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary engineering and technical point of contact for Division‑level government leadership, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and strategic technical vision.
- Provide strategic engineering leadership on emerging technologies that support Division, Office, and
- Lead project and portfolio management activities for Division‑level engineering initiatives, including modernization, transformation, and innovation efforts.
- Direct and manage Proofs of Concept (POCs), pilot programs, Authorities to Test, and Analyses of Alternatives
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to SMEs in areas such as:
- Enterprise data networking
- Unified Communications (UC)
- WiFi and wireless engineering
- Cloud‑based UCaaS, CCaaS, and SaaS platforms
- Develop and author engineering and strategic documentation, including:
- Executive briefings
- Technology roadmaps
- Courses of Action (COAs)
- Weekly activity and status reports
- Strategic communications
- Pilot CONOPS and schedules
- Contingency plans
- Operational runbooks and checklists
- SWOT analyses
- Dashboards and data visualizations
- Provide engineering advisory support to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams, ensuring processes align
- Support Business Operations with engineering‑related financial modeling, TBM framework alignment, and vendor relationship management.
- Demonstrated expertise in engineering disciplines relevant to enterprise IT, networking, and communications.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
- Strong thought leadership in emerging technologies and modernization strategies.
- Experience managing forward‑leaning engineering initiatives (e.g., pilots, ATO/ATT processes, AoAs).
- Ability to oversee and ensure timely resolution of critical, high‑priority, or VIP technical incidents.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to brief leadership and coordinate with technical teams.
- Proficiency in analyzing operational and performance metrics to drive service improvements.
- Ability to identify and address engineering or operational deficiencies in collaboration with government
- Strong research and evaluation skills for recommending new engineering solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high‑visibility environments.
