JMA Solutions, a leading consulting firm delivering management engineering and IT services to federal agencies, is seeking a Lead Radio Technician / INT II Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field and enjoys solving complex communications challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Install, align, and troubleshoot mobile and power radio systems, including RF distribution paths, equipment racks, antennas, and power connections
- Support the design and implementation of RF and IP-based communication systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, circuit testing, and transmitter calibration; replace defective components as needed
- Program and configure radio channels, frequencies, and system features
- Maintain and support radio infrastructure across towers and dispatch centers
- Track and document all maintenance, repairs, and system updates
- Collaborate on additional communications projects and initiatives
- Serve as a Team Lead, providing guidance and oversight to technicians
- On-site role supporting FAA operations in Oklahoma City
- Up to 50% travel
- Salary Range: $105K-115K annually.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet (training provided)
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 70 lbs.
- One of the following:
- BS degree 6 years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree or Trade Certification 7 years of experience
- High School Diploma 10 years of experience (in lieu of degree)
- Strong knowledge of electronics, RF principles, and diagnostic tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, cable testers)
- Experience with cabling and equipment rack installation
- Familiarity with microwave and telecommunications systems (preferred)
- Ability to complete climber training and safely work at heights
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Must reside in Oklahoma City, OK or able to relocate quickly if selected.
