- Assesses and revises policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of Branch operations
- Leads development of STARCOM guidance and drafting of mission-type orders through analysis and interpretation of intent and guidance from CSO and STARCOM/CC
- Coordinates across Deltas and Directorates to develop the Command’s Annual Order each Fiscal Year
- Coordinates across Deltas and Directorates to identify areas of change and publish amending orders
- Lead for preparing and presenting executive and high-level briefings and analysis of conclusions to General Officer leadership.
- Oversees management of operations calendar for the command, ensuring proper Battle Rhythm updates for Command leadership
- Tracks unit tasks and ability to meet STARCOM/CC intent, using Measures of Performance and Measures of Effectiveness per Joint doctrine

- Bachelor's degree desired from an accredited institution in operations, logistics, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in military operations, joint planning, or related field
- Knowledge of military promotion processes and senior leader development programs preferred
- Experience with military personnel and Field Command or Combatant Command staffs preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with classified systems
- Must be eligible for and maintain Top Secret
- U.S. citizenship required
- Completion of required ethics training and annual compliance requirements
- Ability to travel occasionally for training, conferences, or temporary duty assignments
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.

- Prior military service in military orders development and/or joint planning
- Experience working in Space Force or Air Force operations
- Familiarity with STARCOM mission and organizational structure
- Knowledge of Space Force planning and operations functions
- Standard office environment with computer workstation and administrative support
- Regular interaction with military and civilian personnel at various organizational levels
- Periodic high-tempo work periods during Annual Order development and new mission planning and development
- Occasional travel required for training, coordination meetings, or temporary assignments
- Flexible work arrangements may be available in accordance with STARCOM policies
