Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembles Designated Products Such As Stuffing Boxes, Partially Or Completely, Working At a Bench Or On Shop Floor By Performing The Following Duties:
Locates and identifies type, size and quantity of all components needed to assemble product.
Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices.
Checks completed units, insuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification.
Conducts inspections to ensure proper operation of parts.
Notifies management of malfunctions.
Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action.
Conducts hydrostatic tests as required or directed.
Performs painting of finished product as needed.
Uses forklift to move freight and/or inventory.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of shop safety practices
Knowledge of quality assurrance as normally acquired through in-house seminars and training.
Above average skills in: Retaining Instruction.
Demonstrated ability to: Progressively Assemble.
General knowledge of: Mechanical applications.
