What You’ll Do
Examine and treat companion animals
Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results
Educate clients on preventative care and treatment options
Perform surgery and dental procedures
Prescribe medications as needed
Provide guidance and compassion for end-of-life care
Maintain accurate medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and procedures
Requirements
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
Eligibility for Alabama state licensure
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional, courteous demeanor
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; more with assistance
