What You’ll Do
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end close, driving reporting processes, and ensuring compliance across the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll also partner closely with the Accounting Manager on sales tax accounting and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead lease accounting and fixed asset accounting, including reconciliations and reporting
- Execute month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Support financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, consolidations, and ad hoc reporting
- Perform rebate and warranty accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
- Manage daily and monthly bank reconciliations and line of credit reporting
- Support annual GAAP and bank audits through schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
- Serve as a trained backup for sales tax accounting processes, including:
- Avalara reporting
- Resale exemption certificates
- Nexus monitoring and compliance
- Sales tax payment reviews and reconciliations
- Maintain and improve Finance SOPs, accounting controls, and documentation practices
- Participate in financial system implementations and process improvement projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational and financial initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, CPA candidate, or MBA preferred
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience (7 years preferred)
- Experience in:
- Multi-entity accounting
- Distribution or inventory-based environments
- ERP systems
- Sales tax compliance
- Fixed assets and lease accounting
- Rebates and reconciliations
- Avalara or similar sales tax platform experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large data set management

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
