JOB DESCRIPTION Lending Operations SpecialistLocation: Johnston, RIWork Arrangement: Onsite (5 days/week)Duration: 4 MonthsPay Rate: $21.15/hr (W2) Position OverviewThe Business Support Specialist provides research, data entry, and analytical support for lending account reviews. This is an internal-facing role with no customer interaction, focused on accuracy, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with peers. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive, deadline-driven tasks with high accuracy. Key ResponsibilitiesResearch lending and credit line accounts to identify payment activity and delinquency datesRecreate and verify loan account histories and periodic statementsRead and interpret account statements and payment recordsPerform accurate data entry using locked Excel templates (no formula editing)Self-assign 20–100 accounts daily from a work queueFollow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal processesConduct peer quality control (QC) reviews of team members’ workCommunicate internally via email and Microsoft TeamsProvide feedback, ask questions, and escalate issues when neededMaintain high levels of accuracy and documentation quality Required Skills & Experience1–2 years of experience in a data-driven, processing, or operations roleStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentComfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistent accuracyStrong written communication skills for internal business correspondenceProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with loan, payment, or credit terminologyExperience reviewing financial records, statements, or account historiesBackground in quality control, auditing, or peer review processes EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required) Training & OnboardingComprehensive structured training providedTraining includes SOP review and hands-on practicePeer quality control is part of onboarding and ongoing workflow Work ScheduleOnsite, Monday–FridayStart time between 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (some flexibility) Interview ProcessIn-person interviews preferred Ideal Candidate ProfileHighly detail-oriented and accurateComfortable with structured, repetitive workStrong time management skillsCollaborative mindset with willingness to participate in peer QCReliable, professional, and process-driven
