Job Title: Commercial Operations Specialist (Banking Customer Support Specialist)
Location: Johnston, RI
Work Model: 100% Onsite (5 days/week)
Pay Rate: $24.17/hr (W2)
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule:
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM OR
- 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Operations Specialist to support banking clients across cash management, ACH, and commercial card services. This role involves customer interaction, issue resolution, and operational support, while identifying process improvements to enhance service quality and client experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers via phone, chat, and email
- Assist clients with cash management, ACH, and commercial card services
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues across products and systems
- Diagnose, prioritize, and escalate technical or procedural issues as needed
- Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities
- Partner with internal teams to resolve client concerns and improve processes
- Support implementation of solutions to enhance service levels and efficiency
- Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal stakeholders
- Proactively escalate risks or challenges impacting service delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of customer service and/or call center experience
- Banking or financial services experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent phone and listening skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers and business applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Cash Management
- ACH transactions
- Commercial Card services
- Experience in banking operations or financial services support
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
