JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Customer Service Representative (Start date of 05/26)
Location: 77 Hartland Street, East Hartford, CT 06108
Duration: 3 Months with possibility of extension / conversion to perm
Pay Rate: $19.94/hr on W2
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Weekends off)
About the Job:
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our customers as a first point of contact. You will be responsible for providing program and account information, password reset assistance, and ensuring timely call resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Act as initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing beneficiaries
- Provide one-to-one telephone contact with consumers and providers
- Assist with password resets and accurately respond to incoming calls
- Document all interactions with consumers and properly forward calls to Call Center Leadership or other CT agencies
- Log calls into call tracking system and note trends in consumer questions and concerns
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and six months minimum experience in a call center environment
- Associate degree or higher without call center experience
- Ability to pass 30 wpm typing test and customer service assessment
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Strong commitment and work ethic, outstanding attendance, and effective problem-solving skills
