Responsibilities
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies with appropriate conflict management techniques and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility to ensure safety protocols are followed and assets are protected
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations through shift reports and incident documentation
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting concerns accordingly
- Support first aid procedures when needed, providing basic assistance until professional help arrives
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience with conflict management techniques
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail during patrols and inspections
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors
- Physical ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during shifts
