- JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Description Join UCLA Health’s word-class Orthopedic Surgery team as a Senior Orthopedic Technician and paly a key role in supporting exceptional patient care. In this position, you’ll provide comprehensive assistance to physicians and patients across the full spectrum of orthopedic services, from clinical care to procedures support. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in patient assessment and documentation, including recording medical history and orthopedic complains
- Apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices
- Educate patients and families on care and skin maintenance
- Prepare and assist in-clinic procedures and operating room settings, including fracture reductions, dressing changes, and surgical prep
- Interpret basic fractures/dislocations on X-rays and perform measurements such as leg length or grip strength
- Maintain aseptic technique and manage supplies, equipment, and exam room readiness
- Support patient flow by rooming patients, taking vitals, and ensuring documentation accuracy and insurance authorization
- Assist with clinical inventory management and provide back-up support DXA technicians as needed
