What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Veterans Home?
Join our team at the North Dakota Veterans Home. We are currently hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our long-term care team. Positions are available on both our Basic Care and Skilled Care units. Our nurses play an important role in providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Basic Care Unit – NOC Shift
.8 FTE
5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
2–3 shifts per week

Located in Lisbon, North Dakota, the North Dakota Veterans Home is a long-term care community dedicated to honoring and serving our nation’s Veterans and eligible family members. The home includes two basic care pods and one skilled care pod. Minimum Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license in the State of North Dakota
- Current CPR certification
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic computer skills
- Excellent communicator and team player who can adapt in a dynamic care environment
- Passionate about gerontological nursing and improving quality of life for seniors
- Applies the nursing process and critical thinking skills to support quality care and positive resident outcomes in a long-term care environment
