Duties
This position is located in a Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Office (VARO). The incumbent serves as the supervisor of the Administrative Section of the Support Services Division. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and supervise the operations of the Support Services Division Administrative functions, e.g. property management, supply, procurement, fleet management, etc. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Administers administration programs that include records management, property management, supply, procurement, and vehicle fleet management.
- With division and station management, assists in the development and execution of the station's annual GOE and Minor Construction budget.
- Ensures efficient utilization of facility space by monitoring, evaluating, and planning based on program changes and demands and works with appropriate entities for acquisitions, maintenance, and improvements.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual operating plan; consolidates and prepares estimates for presentation to the Director and other station management officials.
- Collaborates with the Budget Officer to review orders to verify the need and ensure each section receives the appropriate share of the funds available.
- Oversees the procurement, issuance, storage, replacement, repair, turn-in and disposal of office supplies, equipment, and furniture.
