This position is in the Medical Disability Examination Office (MDEO). This office ensures Veterans receive timely and high-quality disability examinations worldwide. This position reports under the supervision of the Assistant Director for the Examination Compliance and Assessment Staff. The MDEO Compliance Chief supervises the staff, leads program management-coordination, and leads the assessment and reviews of the Disability Benefits Questionnaires conducted under mandatory appropriation.Qualifications:To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement:08/12/2026.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: You may qualify based on your experience as described below:

Full vs. Part-Time Employment: Full-time employment is considered to be at least 35 hours per week. Part-time experience will be credited on a pro-rated basis; when including part-time employment in your resume you must specify the average hours worked per week.

Specialized experience is defined as, but not limited to, experience processing Veteran disability compensation claims and/or supervisory roles (e.g. Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager, Chief, Coach, Veteran Service Representative, Senior Veterans Service Representative, Rating Veteran Service Representative, Decision Review Officer).
