Job Description
Candidate must be able to work with limited supervision on a daily basis performing preventative and corrective preservation on buildings, equipment, magazines, barricades, plumbing/pipe systems, valves, roads, grounds, and variety of general equipment. Candidate shall perform general maintenance and repair requiring practical skills and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, concrete, insulation, and operation of tools and equipment (hand, power, and machinery). Candidate shall operate heavy equipment such as dumpster truck, roll-off truck, dump truck, backhoe, bulldozer, tractors, rollers, graders, and similar equipment used to excavate, load, move, and compact dirt, gravel, or other materials. Candidate will be expected to work 40 hours each week and overtime as needed.
Other job duties include:
Maintain preventative and corrective maintenance files
Surface prep equipment for painting
Apply interior wall spackling and sand to a quality finish
Spray, roll, brush apply paints and primers
Operate forklifts and aerial lifts
Installation and repair of roll-up doors
Office cubicle and furniture assembly and relocation
Ability to interpret prints, sketches, and drawings
Industrial and office building structural and general condition inspections
General facility (fencing, culvert, bridge, etc.) inspections
General signage design, printing, and installation
Equipment and piping insulation repair and installation
Complete assigned work safely and efficiently per BAE Company Procedures and Policy.
Requires indoor as well as outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather
Shall be required to participate on special teams including but not limited to: snow removal, emergency response/clean-up, and must be responsive to off-hour emergencies
Shall be able to operate within a computerized maintenance work order system, logging work performed, explaining the problem and summarizing what was replaced and/or repaired
Other responsibilities include various shop work using metalworking tools such as a pipe machine, drill press, hydraulic press, and welding
Tree work including trimming and downed tree removal
Fence repair and installation
On-site landfill operations including but not limited to: mowing, receiving waste, compacting, earth fill, leachate water management, and record management
Must have ability to use and experience in using a variety of hand tools and power hand tools
Perform other duties as assigned.
