Location: San Clemente Island, CA

Position Description

General Duties and Duties Specific to Specialization Required for Position. Without supervision perform the following:

· Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals, wiring diagrams or similar documents.

· Applies technical knowledge in troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairing to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes.

· Repairs power generation/distribution equipment.

· Performs corrosion control as necessary in accordance with established procedures

· Performs other duties as assigned by competent authority to support mission success

· Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school, with formal training in Primary and Secondary Power Production generation, storage, and distribution equipment maintenance or 5 years documented experience.

· Ability to speak, read, and write English.

· Valid Local Driver License

· Current DoD SECRET security clearance

5 years’ demonstrated experience or skills in at least 3 all of the following areas:

· Primary Power equipment;

· Secondary Power equipment;

· Diesel engine maintenance and repair:

· Digital/analog control systems;

· Industrial electricity safety equipment and procedures;

· Inverter equipment;

· Lightning surge suppression equipment;

· Solor Power generation equipment;

· Power storage equipment (battery)
