Generator Technician II
Location: San Clemente Island, CA
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school, with formal training in Primary and Secondary Power Production generation, storage, and distribution equipment maintenance or 5 years documented experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Valid Local Driver License
- Current DoD SECRET security clearance
3 years’ demonstrated experience or skills in at least 3 all of the following areas:
- Primary Power equipment;
- Secondary Power equipment;
- Diesel engine maintenance and repair:
- Digital/analog control systems;
- Industrial electricity safety equipment and procedures;
- Inverter equipment;
- Lightning surge suppression equipment;
- Solor Power generation equipment;
- Power storage equiment (battery);
General Duties and Duties Specific to Specialization Required for Position. Perform the following, under supervision/direction if required:
- Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals, wiring diagrams or similar documents.
- Applies technical knowledge in troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairing to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes.
- Repairs power generation/distribution equipment.
- Perform corrosion control as necessary in accordance with established procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned by competent authority to support mission success
- Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
