This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with clients, caring for patients, and staying engaged in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Patient Care & Veterinary Support
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during wellness and sick-patient appointments
- Obtain accurate patient histories and communicate relevant information to the medical team
- Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
- Prepare exam rooms for appointments and procedures
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks within your training and responsibilities
- Support patient care and treatment as directed by the medical team
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas
- Help keep hospital workflow efficient throughout the day
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions and requests
- Schedule and coordinate appointments
- Check clients and patients in and out of the hospital
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate client and patient information
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and other team members
- Help create a positive, organized, and efficient client experience from arrival through checkout
- Float between reception and clinical areas based on hospital workflow and team needs
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, receptionists, and hospital leadership
- Support overall hospital operations and daily workflow
- Communicate effectively when transitioning between client-service and clinical responsibilities
- Jump in where needed to support teammates, patients, and clients
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and team-focused hospital culture
- Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary reception experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort moving between front-desk responsibilities and hands-on patient-care support
- Compassionate and professional client service skills
- Confidence working with pets and their families
- A dependable, adaptable, and team-focused approach
