This is a short-term project, part-time project. The purpose of this internship is to support the Capex WA-25-015 timeline and support the increased engineering and coordination demands. Candidate should be prepared for hands-on involvement on the shop floor, attendance at team meetings, and support of Capex projects.Education and ExperienceAccomplished undergrad or graduate program in engineering, with a focus on mechanical engineering, preferably.Previous experience as an intern a plus.Availability RequirementCandidate must be able to commit to a part-time schedule (20 hours/week) for 12-weeks, starting in the Spring semester.Flexibility to occasionally adjust hours for plant visits, training, or project deadlines may be required.Reports to Eng/Maintenance Manager, functionally to Project Manager.Role SummaryControl of contractorsOversees installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipmentCoordinate installationData collectionAnalyzes how to improve equipmentResolve technical problems implement corrective actionSkills RequiredProficient in MS OfficeAbility to visualize and sketch equipment and layoutsPeople skills to professionally interact with outside contractorsDevelop daily/weekly work plans for contractorsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
