What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant First Shift - Forklift Driver position at Vestil Manufacturing Corporation?
Production Hours Monday - Friday
Responsibilities include ensuring co-workers have the correct material to power-up product, removal of completed product from work areas and maintaining of stock. Also, includes getting units and skids. Driver is responsible for keeping the aisle ways clean, neat and orderly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload material from vendor trucks
- Pull material from storage areas and place in work cells
- Remove finished product from work cells
- Maintain stock by placing material in correct storage area
- Move finished product to powder coat area if required
- If moving to Plant 1 or 3, must place product on pallet and secure using a banding machine or stretch wrap
- Inventory pallets inside during inclement weather
- Assist order picker when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of aisle and walkways

Job Requirements:
- Forklift operation – stand up and sit down
- Use of overhead crane
- Computer and math knowledge
- Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day’s tasks in the hours provided
- Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised
- This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Frequent bending, twisting, and squatting
- Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
- See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits. This includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally, and in certain instances, it is also necessary to discern different colors, primarily red, yellow and green
- Must be 18 years of age or older
