Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing is looking for a Full Time RN Admissions Nurse (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, can be flexible with afternoon/evening start time) whose primary duties are to meet and assess all new admissions. The RN Admissions Nurse plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to facilitate and deliver a seamless and comprehensive patient experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained, specifically through thorough and complete assessments
Ensures that a safe and effective resident care environment is maintained at all times
Assist in ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulatory requirements
Completes rounds of their unit to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations
Assists in ensuring customer service standards for the nursing department
Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy and dignity
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care setting
Licensed in NYS as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Compassion and desire to work with geriatric population
