What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative - Industrial Lubricants position at Vesco Oil Corporation?
Position Summary: Sell industrial lubricant products to new and existing accounts in the Toledo/Wauseon, Ohio area.
Essential Functions:
- Uses effective sales techniques to develop, grow, and retain accounts
- Conducts effective sales and product presentations to customers
- Educates customers on product features and benefits to ensure products are understood and used effectively
- Consistently closes sales opportunities
- Develops and maintains business to achieve individual sales revenue targets
- Increases customer same store sales year over year
- Properly qualifies customers
- Develops and maintains client and prospective client relationships through personal visits and all other means of contact to promote sales growth and continual customer satisfaction
- Follows-up on potential leads, orders, inquiries, and issues
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and consulting
- Committed to addressing and resolving customer complaints in a timely and appropriate manner
- Proactively seeks to improve product knowledge by interacting with internal and external subject matter experts
- Regularly attends sales/training meetings
- Identifies and quickly responds to competitive threats within the territory
- Communicates market intelligence/competitor activity promptly to Automotive Sales Manager
- Files all required reports on time
- Perform other job related duties as assigned

- Working knowledge of the Automotive and Car Dealership Industry preferred – change to “commercial and industrial” industries – or good mechanical aptitude.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent training and experience in successful sales practices and methods
- Minimum 2 years’ customer facing business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success
- Valid driver’s license
- Good driving record, able to meet Vesco Oil Corporation’s driving requirements
- Well-groomed with professional business attire and appearance
- Must be able to drive throughout the workday
