This full-time,CDL A Truck Driver role is based in Grand Rapids, MI and supports the safe and timely delivery of Vesco Oil Corporation’s products to a wide range of customers. This is a local, home daily, Monday through Friday opportunity. The driver will operate commercial vehicles to transport lubricants, fuels, cleaners, and related materials, following all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Typical day-to-day tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading products, securing cargo, maintaining accurate delivery and pickup documentation, and communicating with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and service needs. The role also involves handling materials in accordance with environmental and safety guidelines, reporting equipment issues promptly, and representing the company professionally at customer locations. Drivers may assist with basic vehicle upkeep and collaborate with warehouse and service teams to ensure efficient route planning and high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license, clean driving record, and ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements.
- Experience operating commercial trucks, including performing inspections, managing cargo, and following routing instructions.
- Knowledge of safe handling practices for lubricants, fuels, and related industrial products; hazmat endorsement is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail for completing logs, delivery paperwork, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients at delivery sites and respond to service needs respectfully and clearly.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, climbing in and out of vehicles, and working in varied weather conditions.
- Reliability and time-management skills to meet delivery schedules and coordinate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in transportation, logistics, or industrial supply delivery is beneficial.
