Asset Management is seeking an entry-level analyst to work with the head of Servicing Analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience in fixed income mortgage portfolio management and asset management, combined with the ability to analyze datasets, automate processes, develop initial models in Excel using VBA, and develop dashboards in PowerBi.
Applicants must possess a fundamental understanding of mortgage finance, strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in programming concepts, SQL and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule and requires working onsite at our Bloomington, MN office up to three days a week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SQL, Excel VBA, Power BI, or other BI tools.
- Monitor default loan performance and ensure milestone tracking and cost mitigation.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Design and maintain automated reporting processes.
- Interpret data to support business decisions and drive improvements.
- Write and optimize VBA scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
- Develop macros and custom functions to improve Excel-based reporting tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing VBA applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop analytical solutions.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct user acceptance testing for process enhancements.
- Identify and implement process improvements through automation.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration with a concentration in finance preferred).
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with Visual Basic programming, SQL, and data automation projects (can include academic or internship work).
- 1 year of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or internship/entry-level role in fixed income or mortgage finance preferred.
- Recent graduates with strong technical skills and a demonstrated interest in mortgage or finance are encouraged to apply.
