Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, oversee, and execute master production schedules (short-, medium-, long-term) that align with corporate objectives, customer demand, and plant capacity.
- Monitor daily throughput, production capacity, and performance against planned schedules.
- Serve as escalation point for conflicts such as priority changes, capacity constraints, or material shortages.
- Own forecasting methodology, safety stocks, reorder points, and policies for obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate the flow of raw materials and finished goods to optimize inventory levels, avoid stockouts, and balance working capital.
- Collaborate with operations to improve material flow, minimize bottlenecks, and boost productivity.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, and working capital impact.
- Report performance to senior leadership; set improvement targets and track progress regularly.
- Lead initiatives to enhance planning tools, processes, and analytics (e.g. advanced planning systems, automation).
- Identify and implement best practices and benchmark standards across the organization.
- Establish standard work, policies, procedures, and governance for the planning function, including ensuring data integrity in ERP systems.
- Mentor, coach, and develop planning team members; create training plans, conduct performance reviews, and manage succession planning.
- Facilitate team meetings and communications, ensuring alignment of operational and business goals.
- Drive an operating cadence and discipline in planning functions using structured governance and tiered accountability.
- Represent the planning function in senior management forums, capital projects, and strategic planning.
- Lead or support the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) process.
- Manage departmental projects aligned with business priorities and drive execution in line with the company’s strategic direction.
- Perform additional responsibilities or initiatives that aid in achieving organizational goals and improvements.
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in the Manufacturing Planning or Supply Chain
- APICS or CPM certification preferred
- Master degree or MBA degree required
- Knowledge of SIOP and production scheduling dynamics
- Demonstrable experience in implementing and using ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Strong interpersonal skills, advanced Excel skills and Microsoft office package, English language required
- Self-starter with the ability to manage a varied workload and drive change processes.
- Potentially long working hours during monthly and annual closing. Daily presence in Company’s offices is required, with limited possibility to work from remote (to be negotiated and agreed).
