What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator position at Vertisystem Inc.?
Location: Lansing, MI
- Manage and monitor SQL Server 2016 environments for uptime and performance.
- Set up and troubleshoot High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Perform server maintenance, including patching, service packs, and upgrades.
- Execute database security tasks, specifically Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
- Monitor database storage and calculate disk space for new installations.
- Liaise with external consultants for complex system troubleshooting.
Must Have:
- 4 years SQL Server DBA (v2016 )
- HA/DR (High Availability/Disaster Recovery) expertise
- Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) experience
- System documentation skills (2 years)
Nice to Have:
- Associate's Degree
- Public sector experience
