Level IV: 8 Years of Experience. Creates and updates sketches, working drawings and contract documents using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software. Prepares 2D and 3D models. Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications. Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology. Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints. Prepares documentation to support design drawings. Often requires experience with the specific design application in use by client base.
• AutoCAD Designer focused heavily on 3D design work
• Designing natural gas piping systems and fittings
• Creating construction and permitting drawings
• Supporting projects from initial 3D design through official project closeout
Responsibilities
• Create 2D and 3D AutoCAD designs
• Design natural gas pipelines and fittings
• Prepare construction and permitting drawings
• Develop isometric drawings/designs
• Build and maintain design blocks for isometric creation
• Create designs from scratch
• Support survey and bid-out related technical work
Required :
• AutoCAD Plant 3D – Hard requirement
• Strong 3D design experience
• Experience creating isometric drawings
• Experience building blocks/templates for designs
• Proven hands-on 3D drafting/design background
Preferred
• Experience working with Gas standards highly preferred
• Contractors who have supported Gas projects are ideal
• 3D design certification/training preferred
• Degree not required
• Candidates with lesser experience may still be considered if technical skills are strong
Initial contract: 1 year
Strong possibility of extension
Very technical role, Open to submitting candidates above the max rate if AutoCAD expertise is strong
Salary : $50 - $60
