Junior Civil Estimator

Position Overview

The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing quantity takeoffs, analyzing project drawings, and supporting the estimating team throughout the bidding process. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their career in construction estimating.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from plans, drawings, and specifications
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and bid packages
• Review and interpret blueprints and project documents
• Utilize estimating software tools such as AGTEK and Bluebeam for takeoffs and measurements
• Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain organized records of takeoffs, estimates, and project data

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction estimating or related field
• Proficiency in AGTEK and Bluebeam (highly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and materials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
