Position Overview
The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing quantity takeoffs, analyzing project drawings, and supporting the estimating team throughout the bidding process. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their career in construction estimating.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs from plans, drawings, and specifications
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and bid packages
- Review and interpret blueprints and project documents
- Utilize estimating software tools such as AGTEK and Bluebeam for takeoffs and measurements
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized records of takeoffs, estimates, and project data
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction estimating or related field
- Proficiency in AGTEK and Bluebeam (highly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
