What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Associate - High Reach Experience Required position at Vertical Cold Storage LLC?
Job Summary: This person will be responsible for oversight of Customer Inventory by coordinating with Operations Team through receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain Inventory accuracy by auditing and cycle counting receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing processes and procedures to produce customer service excellence.
- Ensure correct and timely handling of product within the established Vertical Cold Storage policies and procedures. Utilizing appropriate, defined practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Control inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with system software.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by following and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Protect shipments by investigating causes of damages and discrepancies in consignments.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair.
- Enforce safety policies by conducting inspections, counseling employees, and identifying and correcting infractions.
- Collaborate departmental workflow between warehouse, production, office, and corporate administrative departments.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Prior reach truck and cherry picker experience.
- 1-3 years' experience in warehouse/distribution preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Safety and OSHA desired.
- Strong customer service skills with ability to read and write English.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Problem solving abilities with attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Employee is regularly required to stand, walk for 8 or more hours in a day.
- Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Employee is frequently required to bend, twist, use hand to finger, handle, controls and climb or balance, reach with hands and arms.
