Job Description

Vertical Alliance Group is a well-established company, in business since 1999, with headquarters located in the Texarkana area. We provide LMS platforms for multiple industries and we’re currently looking for an IT Junior Developer to program, test, and troubleshoot projects and applications.

The Junior Developer will support the maintenance of existing applications and will provide end user support when needed. The Junior Developer evaluates and modifies moderately complex applications programs working from detailed specifications. The Junior Developer codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications. The Junior Developer works on most phases of application programming activities.

Result Statement :

The Junior Developer will program and test the organization’s projects and applications. The Junior Developer will support the maintenance of existing applications. The Junior Developer codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains applications. The Junior Developer works on several phases of application programming activities.

Tactical Work Listing (Tactical work for which this position is accountable) :

Provide for the development for all Infinit-I projects and applications
Provide for the support and maintenance for all Infinit-I projects and applications
Provide for the testing or testing assistance for all Infinit-I projects and applications
Provide for the support and maintenance for all Infinit-I projects and applications infrastructure to include physical and Azure cloud servers and services
Provide feedback on bug reports for all Infinit-I projects and applications
Perform tasks as assigned to support, maintain, and develop for all Infinit-I projects and applications
Estimate levels of effort, with constant and consistent feedback regarding progress
Provides on-call support as needed to support service level agreements
Have open communication with manager and team
Performs additional IT duties and tasks as assigned, help desk and network support
Gain knowledge of emerging technology and best practices in application design and development

Job Description Requirements :

Familiar and experience with following .NET (4.5 and higher), c#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, Knockout, React, Entity Framework, LINQ and Web API

Level of understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles

Level of understanding of SQL Server, Transact SQL, stored procedures, views, and triggers

Good team player, proactive issue resolution with a positive attitude

Have passion for learning new technologies and enhancing existing skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Self-starter that can work well in a distributed – remote team environment, ability to work in teams as well as possess self-accountability

Ability to adapt and respond in a rapidly evolving business environment

Detail oriented, flexible, and accommodating

Sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or related work experience

Some relevant developer experience, personal, or education developer experience
