IT PMO Analyst needed on a contract to hire basis with our direct insurance domain client located in NYC downtown - 4 days Hybrid - Fridays work from home
Hours: Onsite (8am-5pm EST)
MUST be Excel GURU, proactive and communications skills need to be top notch, be able to work with shifting priorities and fast paced environment
Ideal Candidate:
Is an exceptional Excel super user…someone who can take reports/spread sheets and data from multiple sources…analyze, assess, combine, compile, collate and create summaries/provide insight tailored for a senior audience. Must also be a PowerPoint guru who can create slides with accompanying summaries that are clear and succinct. Focused and confident…comfortable managing incoming and outgoing communications and being the “brand ambassador” for the office of the CIO.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in numbers, data analysis, and presentation to support the Office of the CIO. This role will work closely with the Chief of Staff to provide actionable insights, data-driven recommendations, and clear communication to drive strategic decisions and operational efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to IT strategy and business goals.
- Develop, maintain, and present clear, concise reports and visualizations for executive leadership.
- Support the CIO office with data-driven insights to inform decision-making and project prioritization.
- Collaborate with IT, data teams, and business units to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
- Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and technology initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and briefing materials for executive meetings.
- Contribute to data governance and compliance efforts as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Must be a self-started and manage tasks independently
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong quantitative and statistical analysis capabilities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems, and technology project management is a plus.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance principles.
Background & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role supporting senior leadership.
- Experience working in or supporting business leadership, preferably within a CIO or Front-office Office.
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that influence business or technology strategy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
