- Coordinate and verify delivery of materials and documentation to production.
- Ensure readiness of orders by reviewing work orders and material availability.
- Monitor and track work order progress, addressing barriers to ensure timely completion
- Proactively identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies before impact to production.
- Update ERP systems with accurate material movements, completions, and adjustments.
- Support inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain system accuracy.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines as well as effectively communicate within a teaming environment.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and understand requirements detailed on drawings is a plus.
- Understanding of the application and concepts of Planning including MRP (Demand/Supply) and Inventory Management.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with S4Hana or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.
Security Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required for government contract compliance.
- Must meet requirements to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance if needed.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role is primarily performed on the production floor with frequent walking, standing, and material handling.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Use of carts, bins, and material handling equipment required.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on area assignments.
Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in materials coordination, production control, or inventory operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, S4HANA, Oracle, or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing workflows and inventory control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part numbers, and bill of materials.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to work across multiple teams and departments.
