The Role
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Material Coordinator to lead our efforts in Greenwood, Indiana. This role is responsible for accurate systems and warehouse inventory. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven leader with a passion for learning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor inventory levels by running and validating required reports each shift.
- Enter all discrepancies into inventory system and maintain records to standards. Enter receipts as directed.
- Perform cycle counts as required.
- Communicate all supply issues to suppliers and escalate all supply risks to the appropriate internal groups in a timely manner.
- Follow visual min/max procedures and communicate min violations as required.
- Pull inventory as required and administer all inbound/outbound expedite activity, as needed.
- Assist in plant-wide inventory activities, as required
- Document activities as required, adhere to company guidelines and ensure employee safety.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 1-3 years of applied experience in the materials department or manufacturing department, preferable automotive or JIT.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a strong attention to detail, follow up and follow through and ability to perform time sensitive assignments.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
- Up to 5% of travel required with a valid driver's license.
