Junior Estimator
Location: Newburgh, NY

Overview:
An established electrical contractor is looking to add a Junior Estimator to their growing preconstruction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their estimating career to gain exposure to complex, large scale projects while working alongside experienced senior estimators.
This role is open to candidates from any estimating background. Electrical experience is not required, but a strong interest in construction and cost analysis is important.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for commercial and mission critical construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope
• Support takeoffs and quantity surveys
• Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Help build and maintain bid packages and proposals
• Work closely with senior estimators and project teams during preconstruction
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates and project data
Qualifications:
• 1 to 4 years of estimating experience in construction or related field
• Experience reviewing drawings and project documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with estimating tools is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
