💼 Manufacturing / Industrial Safety
We are seeking a Safety Representative to support critical manufacturing launch activities within a high-volume production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment, processes, and operations meet safety requirements during installation, commissioning, and production startup activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing safety, machine safety, risk assessments, and OSHA compliance, along with experience supporting equipment launches and commissioning projects.
Responsibilities
- Support plant safety programs and safety culture initiatives
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard evaluations
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action activities
- Perform safety audits, inspections, and safety observations
- Support equipment installation, machine runoffs, commissioning, and startup activities
- Review machine guarding, interlocks, emergency stops, and energy isolation systems
- Track safety concerns, corrective actions, and closure plans
- Assist with OSHA compliance and safety documentation
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, contractors, and safety stakeholders
- Support launch readiness reviews and safety sign-off processes
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Safety, EHS, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong relevant manufacturing safety experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial safety, EHS, or plant safety environments
