This company produces precision metal castings for major aerospace and industrial clients and has been operating in the Portland area for more than 80 years.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering full benefits upon permanent hire, quarterly bonuses, and growth potential.
Production Line Operator Job Duties:
- Clean and prepare castings using chemical baths, rinses, and drying ovens
- Test and maintain chemical tanks to keep levels within required specifications
- Submerge and handle castings safely using hoists, tumblers, and manual tools
- Apply fluorescent penetrant and prepare parts for inspection
- Complete basic documentation and maintain cleanliness of work area
Schedule: Training on day shift, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
- After training must be open to day, swing, or graveyard shifts
Pay: $25.14/hr
Production Line Operator Job Requirements:
- Ability to wear PPE including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around chemicals and industrial equipment
- Must have HS diploma or GED
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
